Shaker Step Stool Kit Overview
The Shakers used step stools like this one, with its long steadying post, to give access to high drawers and shelves. Several of the two-step stools exist today in museums. but the one step design is quite a rarity. The front leg is dovetailed to the top and braced to the back to give it great rigidity. When not in use it can be hung on a wall peg or it can grace the corner of a room. Clear cherry. Shown in Oil finish. Our furniture kits include all necessary glue, screws, hardware, sandpaper, and assembly instructions. The price of the kit also includes a sufficient quantity of our Oil Finish. Width 7 1/2".
